Strategy Development
Strategy formulation is a core area of SIPL’s work. Strategy is a continuous process: our political and socio-economic environment is continually in flux. A change of government, a new government regulation, the abrupt decrease or increase in available funding, or a change in demand for services can affect the mission and the purpose of an organization.
Our key strengths lie in being able to critically analyze emerging political, economic and social contexts and facilitate processes that help our clients to adopt interventional strategies that are based on historically and empirically grounded assumptions.
We adopt an impact-based approach in crafting strategic plans. We do an in-depth analysis of both the external and internal environment, and identify relevant social processes. This is done through a review of literature and multi-level consultations. This helps the organization to decide what to do, how to implement, where to implement, how to monitor the progress of outputs and outcomes in regards to their strategy and be able to evaluate the impact it has made.
Specific types of assignments undertaken in this area include: Comprehensive Strategic Plans or a more concise exercises of developing Strategic Agendas or setting Strategic Directions. We also assist in developing component strategies for specific functional areas such as Programme, Finance, Human Resources, Communications and Media, Digital Security, etc.
